Cynthia obtained her Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons), from York University. She then obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law and received a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution (Workplace and Commercial Mediation) from York University, Faculty of Liberal and Professional Studies. She was called to the Bar in 2008.
